A Picturesque Development in the English countryside
Converting what was once a dairy farm in the picturesque English countryside of Sussex into an exclusive gated housing development was no easy task, but Bluestone had a vision and knew exactly which of their trusted suppliers to call on to make this dream a reality.
Contracted to deliver the driveways, estate roads, irrigation systems and hard and soft landscaping in the private gardens, Coastal Paving was a crucial supplier whose expertise in optimising outdoor spaces was instrumental in shaping the outdoor vision of the Twingeham Grange Development.
Delivering on a Broad Scope
Briefed with the architectural plans which also provided detailed information of the materials, setting the standard of quality aiming to be achieved. The breadth of work assigned to Coastal Paving was significant, encompassing paving, road systems, gravel paths, fencing, turfing, planting, and driveways. Keeping in line with the overarching contemporary design of the development, high-quality functional materials were chosen for these areas, blending into the countryside setting and complimenting the 6 modern eco homes.
For the Driveways, Tobermore Arturo Linear blocks were used along with Breedon Buff gravel edged with 6 millimeter mild steel edging for the gravel areas. Finishing it off, Wooden ‘hit and miss’ fence panels enclosed the various areas.

As with any large-scale venture, Twineham Grange Farm came with its fair share of challenges. “Timelines were constantly shifting, which is typical for new builds,” Costal Paving’s Director explains. “We had to juggle our schedules carefully to keep this project moving alongside others.”

The Coastal Paving team fostered close interaction with both the client and onsite teams, ensuring adaptability and commitment to deadlines. This collaborative spirit also played a vital role in swiftly addressing minor layout changes and logistical tweaks, thanks to the Bluestone team’s strong site management.
Regular site inspections, detailed walkthroughs with the client, and prompt resolution of any arising issues guaranteed that every aspect met or exceeded high expectations.
